Around 500 are already pre-registered for Sunday's race.

Around 500 runners are pre-registered to run through Patchogue Village Sunday as part of the Patchogue Kiwanis organization's Santa's 5K Toy Trot, the organization has told Patch.

Registration for the race for those pre-registered and who want to sign up that morning is at 9 a.m. at Fireman's Park at DeWitt Avenue and Smith Street, and the race starts at 11 a.m. at Shorefront Park.

Day of race registration is $25 for adults, and $20 for participants ages 18 and under or 65 and older. It is requested that all participants bring a new, unwrapped toy for Kiwanis Club of Patchogue's community toy drive. All proceeds from the race are also going to the Kiwanis.

Hi folks, Come down and run trot, walk or volunteer! If you want to volunteer we could use your help. Please be at Firemans Park no later than 830 am and dress warm! We are excited to be helping Patchogue and vicinity by giving toys and raising money for families and youth in our community. Robert Borowskl President, Patchogue Kiwanis
