Community Update

I was once a member of LA Fitness eight years ago. I'm currently a member of Bally Sport, but I want to start playing basketball once again and Bally's does not offer a basketball court so I thought I'd try LA Fitness since I had it in the past and it's just a few bucks more a month.

I go on the website and request a 3-Day pass, enter my information and print the pass out. I get to the gym after work and for whatever reason, it won't let the lady at the front desk activate it so she sends me to some big guy with black hair (I forgot his name). Off the bat, I could tell he didn't care to help; he pretty much tells me that I could not try the gym out because I was a member eight years ago and that the website allowed me to print the pass to get me in and sell me a membership followed by "and here we are". He starts telling me prices and I just stop him and tell him I want to try out the gym because not all gyms are alike. Another chick jumps in and says I could pay $20 for ONE day to try it out.

He then tells me "have you had pizza before? After having a slice, do you need to have another to make sure you like it?" Um, yes... Not all pizzas are the same, Pizza Hut is completely different to Papa John's". I have zero clue as to why this guy works in sales... I went to simply ask if I could try out the gym before I join, yes or no? Then they went on with more none sense about how I was already a member, so I grabbed my things and left.

I have never felt more unwanted in a business establishment in my life. I'll take me $99 initiation fee and $40/month elsewhere, they aren't the only gym in the world.
