Long Islanders head to the polls on Tuesday to elect a host of county and town leaders.
Here in Suffolk, voters will elect a new county executive, who will be tasked with solving a severe cash crunch. County lawmakers recently said they believe County Executive Steve Levy's 2012 budget proposal is short by more than $124 million.
All of the 18 seats on the County Legislature are up for grabs and voters will also cast their ballots for town supervisors and town board members.
With that in mind, we want to hear from you. What is the most important issue in this year's election? Vote in the poll below and share your thoughts in the comments.
