Village taxes

Please explain how, with an over $3million surplus in the Village budget, and all these condos, businesses being built, (because we need even MORE people crowding our single lane roads), why the mayor felt the need to go over the cap and raise our taxes.  Aren't we burdened enough? We have parking police, public safety, village constables, MTA police, SCPD, sheriffs, when is enough enough? Give us a break already!!
