A fifth victim of the devastating Farmingdale car crash that took place early Saturday has died, authorities said.

Nassau police said Cody Talanian, 17, of Farmingdale was pronounced dead Sunday at 10 p.m. at Nassau University Medical Center.

Police also officially released the names and ages of the other four teenagers who were traveling in the same car with Talanian and died the night of the crash. They are Tristan K. Reichle, 17, of Farmingdale; Jesse J. Romero, 18, of South Farmingdale; Carly Lonnborg, 14, of South Farmingdale; and Noah Francis, 15, of Farmingdale.

According to Nassau police, the accident occurred at 12:04 a.m. when a 2001 Nissan with the five teenagers in it, heading west on Conklin Street, crossed into the eastbound lanes and collided with a GMC Suburban.

Three people in the Nissan were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash near Staples Street, police said. The male driver of the Nissan was transported to the hospital, where he was also pronounced dead, police said.

The passengers in the GMC are expected to survive, police said over the weekend.

The Village of Farmingdale has declared Monday a day of mourning for the community. A prayer vigil was held St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church Sunday night.

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.

Glenn you should not judge! You don't know the whole story and situation . Yes at first 12 am 14 year old out in a car does not sound good but there can be understandable reasons why they were in the car. As a parent that try's my best to protect my children I can even say we ALL do something at one point that may not have been the right choice and that does not make ANYONE a bad parent!

My prayer is that no teenager or adult who finds it SO necessary to text or talk and drive ever plow into my car. I find it very unnerving that even though there is a law against it, people continue to use their phones while driving an automobile. For all those, that continue to use poor judgement (no matter of age) I could care less if you drive off a cliff, I just pray they dont hit me or someone I know.
