Bouncer Stabbed Outside of Patchogue Bar

Victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

A bouncer was stabbed outside of a Patchogue bar early Monday morning according to Suffolk County Police.

Hadyetou Diaby, 27, was stabbed in the back while escorting an intoxicated man outside of the Pueblo Viejo bar, 224 E. Main St., at 2:50 a.m., police said. Diaby sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the attack, and was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center.

Police said the man who stabbed Diaby was the friend of the intoxicated man he was escorting, Marcelino Benavides-Bonilla, 50 of Patchogue.

Benavides-Bonilla was charged with assault in the second degree.
