That intersection, the traffic light at the entrance to Sears / Petco (off Waverly) is so dangerous. I don't think there is a turning light there, and with all the steady southbound traffic on Waverly throughout the day, it's nearly impossible to turn there while the light is still green. ....

The 87 year old man was injured. He had a laceration to the face, a hematoma by his ear, and a cracked cervical vertebrae. Pretty serious when you're 87. He's in ICU. The driver was injured by shattered glass, but not seriously. Something needs to be done about Waverly Ave in general, both north and south of Sunrise. People speed through the lights, and don't care if someone else has the right of way.
