They finally put the story up. I guess the man didn't die at the scene but he did pass away from his injuries on Tuesday. I still wonder why it didn't show up on the crime report the other day. http://sachem.patch.com/articles/police-homeless-man-charged-in-strangulation

Kara, sometimes items on the crime report (which is taken directly from Suffolk PD's webiste) doesn't register in the system until a couple days after the incident. There was no incident report for either an assault or an arrest made in this case at the time we printed the crime report. This information was actually eventually ascertained as a result of the comments tipping us off to a possible homicide, and repeated calls to Suffolk's public information office. Thanks for the news tip!

Yes sure. Believe it or not there are gangs that call Ronkonkoma home. Gang related murder rocked ronkonkoma in 08 by burger king which i was 17 at the time and witnessed the aftermath that affected the Ronkonkoma community with media and police presence.. However Latin King graffiti tags have been popping up around the Ronkonkomas. I have seen the tags by Cherokee Elementary school in Ronkonkoma, Ronkonkoma Middle School, Lake Ronkonkoma parks, as well as store fronts along Ocean ave and johnson ave all the way up to Ronkonkoma Train station. Ronk is not the same town as we all once no.....

Sad that it is becoming what it is. I feel that it is so ignored by the 4th Prec. that has given room to a lot of activity that it shouldn't have.
