Police: Patchogue Couple Steal and Pawn Jewelry

A boyfriend and girlfriend arrested Thursday allegedly teamed up in connection with several burglaries in Patchogue, East Patchogue, Medford and Bellport since July, Suffolk County Police said.

Suffolk Police are hoping the public can help identify the bank robber who hit the Capital One bank in Sayville this past July. The man is described as thin, white, between 5’5 and 5’8 tall and wearing a long-sleeved shirt, shorts, knee-high socks, dark sunglasses and a fedora-style hat.

A resident of Stratton Lane in Stony Brook reported Sept. 3 that someone removed the mailbox from the property and placed it inside a neighbor's unlocked car. The incident is thought to have occurred at around 10:30 p.m.

The Chase bank branch in the middle of Port Jefferson village was robbed Thursday afternoon by a man who threatened to harm someone inside unless the teller handed over cash, Suffolk County Police said.

Suffolk police on Tuesday arrested a Shirley woman for stealing thousands of dollars from Maryhaven Center of Hope, which operates a residential facility for people with special needs in Miller Place.
