E. Patchogue Man Walking on Sunrise Struck, Killed
Gary Abrams, 54, killed in Friday night crash in Bohemia, police say.
An East Patchogue man who was walking in the middle lane of Sunrise Highway was killed after being struck by a tractor-trailer Friday night, Suffolk Police said.
Police did not say what Gary Abrams, 54, may have been doing in the middle of the highway at the time of the crash at 10:14 p.m. in Bohemia.
The tractor-trailer, operated by 27-year-old Tiago Teixeira, of New Jersey, was traveling westbound on Sunrise when hit it Abrams, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is continuing and police are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
