FBI: Serial Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested in Medford

Man allegedly connected to bank robberies in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

A man suspected of committing a series of bank robberies along the eastern seaboard of the United States has been arrested Tuesday in Medford.

According to information released by the FBI Tuesday morning, Luis Alomar, 37, was taken into custody at approximately 2:30 a.m.

Alomar is allegedly connected to robberies committed in several states, including Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. The Greenwich, CT Patch has reported several of these robberies since August.

Several agencies assisted in Alomar's arrest, including the FBI, Suffolk County Police Department, Westchester County Police Department, Yonkers Police Department, New York State Police and Greenwich, Connecticut Police Department.
