Fire Scare at Patchogue Theatre

False alarm triggers response from Patchogue Fire Department Thursday morning.

A fire alarm caused a brief scare at the Thursday morning.  

An alarm went off inside the theatre around 10:30 a.m., drawing several fire trucks to the scene. Officials said it was a false alarm, but Patchogue firefighters did put on their gear to search the theatre for any sign of a fire. 

Main Street between Ocean Avenue and Maple Avenue was closed for about 10 minutes while firefighters worked in the area.
