We had to " short sell" our home Just to get out of that, neighborhood. Wasnt like that 16 yrs ago when we purchased the house. I am much happier renting Where I live now than owning there. My kids couldnt even walk up to get a slice of pizza without someone asking them for money.

Free to pillage....Did you know that after 11pm Pathmark is free range for thieves?...Managers leave, zero security, employees instructed to look the other way and the "shoppers" gather in the parking lot with their oversized coats & hidden bags and walk off with hundreds of dollars of free (eg. stolen) food.... Guess I"M the ass who watches the sales like a hawk...travels from store to store to get the best deal..and ONLY buys when items are on sale!...

My deepest sympathies....While I spend my days (ALL of THEM!) in upper port, I go home...a couple/few miles in distance, but a whole world away!...sadly the neglect of the area by SCPD & PJ Village has taken a huge economic toll on myself & my family, so that I can no longer afford my home, but that's a whole 'nuther burr in my rear!...These people have little/no desire to be anything but wards of the state, as it were, while so many of us are killing ourselves to make a buck (read: MAKE a buck, not TAKE a buck) and because no one of authority cares enough to clean up the area, WE lose and THEY win!... Take a stand...stay tough...
