Man Pleads Not Guilty to Fire Island Restroom Videotape Charges

Christian Lee's next court date is September 20 on one of the five E Felony charges.

A Sayville man charged with five counts of allegedly video taping a female employee restroom at a Fire Island business was arraigned and released Thursday on his own recognizance, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office and is due back in court on Sept. 20 on one of the charges.

Christian Lee, 24, pleaded not guilty before Judge Gary Weber in a Riverhead court Thursday morning.

, Lee set up a video camera and taped restroom users on May 10, May 20 and May 23 at a Fire Island Pines establishment located on Picketty Ruff Walk.

Lee’s lawyer, Christopher Brucato, of Brucato & Byrne in Central Islip, told Patch earlier this week that his client denies the charges.

Lee is also due back in court on Oct. 22 regarding the additional four charges.

Each charge is an E Felony. If convicted the sentencing could be one to three years or one and one-third year to four years, or a combination sentence of local jail time and probation, according to the DA's office.
