One Day, Three Accidents in Patchogue

One wreck cost a 27-year-old man his life.

Three car accidents occured Friday in the Patchogue-Medford area, causing one fatality, blocked-off highways and several investigations.

Daniel Hofer, 27, died when his motorcycle collided with a Mazda CX-7 at the intersection of Express Drive North and Old Medford Avenue in Medford at 3:15 p.m. Suffolk County Police are still investigating the accident.

Later, a pedestrian was hit by a Jeep in front of Brookhaven Memorial Hospital at 5:36 p.m. County Police said the victim was rushed into the hospital and is currently in stable condition.

A serious car accident also happened in Gorden Heights at the intersection of Granny Road and Mills Road last night at 11:30 p.m. Suffolk Police will release more information on that accident later.
