Two men struck and killed in two separate incidents Saturday.

A Ronkonkoma man was killed by an eastbound LIRR train heading into Ronkonkoma station Saturday morning, according to reports.

A spokesperson for the LIRR told Newsday the accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. when 31 year-old Michael O'Leary, of Ronkonkoma, stepped from behind a signal box at the side of the tracks and into the train's path.

The spokesperson said the area where O'Leary was hit was a wooded section of the line about a mile west of the Ronkonkoma station. 

The train that struck O'Leary was a 10:13 a.m. out of Penn Station, and was carrying about 200 passengers, according to the report.

O'Leary's death was the second train fatality yesterday, according to the same report. In Center Moriches, Miguel Reyes, 46, was struck and killed near the defunct Center Moriches train station after trying to cross under the gates with his bicycle at around 10 a.m.
