North Patchogue Bank Robbed

Police looking for woman last seen going south on Route 112.

The Astoria Federal Savings Bank at 718 Route 112 was robbed on Wednesday.

According to Suffolk County Police, at 10:35 a.m. a woman handed a note to the teller demanding cash, which the teller complied with. The woman then fled on foot and was last seen heading south on Route 112.

The woman has not as of yet been found.

She is described as a white female, 55 to 60 years old with a thin build a red hair in a ponytail . She was wearing sunglasses, a red long-sleeve T-shirt and black pants.

Police did not disclose the amount of money robbed and a supervisor at Astoria Federal Savings Bank declined comment.
