PAL, SJC Offering Survival Swim Lessons in Patchogue

Lessons designed for children ages 5-10 with no swimming experience.

Want to teach your child to swim?

The Suffolk County Police Athletic League and  are offering a "Swim for Survival Instructional Program" designed for children between ages 5-10 that have no swimming experience.

The program costs $20 and takes place over four weeks. Lessons will take place in the Patchogue campus's John A. Danzi Athletic Center.

Each session is 45 minutes and is taught by certified swim instructors.

2012 Swim For Survival Program

 

The Suffolk County Police Athletic League and St. Joseph’s College are offering a “Swim for Survival Instructional Program” for children between the ages of 5-10, who have no swimming experience. This four session program will be held for four weeks and is designed to teach basic water survival skills.

Certified swim instructors from St. Joseph’s College will provide swim instructions to each child enrolled in the four 45 minute sessions. The program will be held at St. Joseph’s College, the JohnA. Danzi Athletic Center, 155 West Roe Boulevard, Patchogue, NY. 11772

ENROLLMENT IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST

40 CHILDREN ON A FIRST COME / FIRST SERVED basis.

 

Session / Date/Time: July 12, 19, 26, & Aug 2, 2012

Session 1 @ 5:00 – 5:45 P.M.

Session 2 @ 6:00 – 6:45 P.M. 

Registration Fee: $20.00 Includes insurance & camp tee-

Shirt. (Each child must bring a towel)

Your barking dog complaint in North Patchogue is handled by Public Safety, Town of Broohaven. CallRead More them at 451-6161 and they will take action. The first time the owners will be warned, the next time they will receive a summons.

Don't know what the Town ordnance is, but if you live within the Village of Patchogue, I believeRead More there is a "15 minute rule" in the code. Basically, if the dog is barking for more than 15 continuous minutes, it's a violation subject to a fine. Call public safety at 475-1225. Keep in mind it's probably not their first priority (unless the dog has a bad attitude, and is carrying a weapon), but they will be responsive, eventually.
