Patchogue Man Arrested for Area Burglaries

Police arrested two men who committed burglaries in Patchogue, Medford, Blue Point and Bayport.

A Patchogue man was arrested by Suffolk County Police with his accomplice Friday morning for the burglary of several homes in East Patchogue, Medford, Blue Point and Bayport. Police said that the first of these incidents was a burglary in East Patchogue on July 12.

Police found and arrested Anthony Gazzola, 21 of East Patchogue, and Ryan Rossi, 22 of Port Jefferson, near the scene of a robbery in a home on Bayview Avenue in Bayport.

According to police, Gazzola climbed through the front window of the residence attempting to steal jewelry from inside the home. Gazzola fled the scene as police arrested Rossi, who was waiting in the car for Gazzola. Detectives James Walker and James Smith then responded and arrested Gazzola.

Gazzola was charged with five counts of burglary in the second degree, and one count of attempted burglary in the second degree. Rossi was charged with two counts of burglary in the second degree and one count of attempted burglary second degree.
