Patchogue Man Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash

Cesar Adragna, 51, is in serious condition after early Saturday morning crash.

A Patchogue man was seriously injured early Saturday morning after his motorcycle crashed into another vehicle on the Long Island Expressway, police said.

Cesar Adragna, 51, was operating his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on the LIE, a half-mile west of Exit 55, in Central Islip, when he sideswiped a 1999 Kia Sport and then crashed into the rear of a 2006 Honda CR-V at 12:40 a.m., police said.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the Honda being driven by John Lomando, 42, was slowing down as a result of a road closure. Police said it appeared Adragna was unable to decelerate sufficiently and struck the vehicle.
