Patchogue Man Severely Injured in Industrial Accident
Police say Julio Granados became entangled in machinery at Clare Rose Distributors Tuesday afternoon.
A Patchogue man was severely injured in an industrial accident Tuesday afternoon at Clare Rose Distributors in Shirley, police said.
Julio Granados, 56, became entangled in a large compacting baler and a 911 call reporting the accident was made at 1:32 p.m., police said.
Officers were able to remove Granados from the machine, but the victim suffered severe blood loss and traumatic injuries to both of his legs, police said. Officers performed emergency medical care to prevent further blood loss and stabilized him, police said.
Granados was transported via SCPD helicopter to and was admitted in serious condition.
