E. Patchogue Air National Guardsman whose home was burglarized and set on fire welcomed home Monday.

Eric Carver, an East Patchogue member of the Air National Guard whose home was burglarized and then set on fire on Dec. 27, was welcomed home at a Welcome Home fundraising event at Mediterranean Manor in Patchogue Monday.

Community members attending the Welcome Home party were able to donate to help Carver and his family get back on their feet after their losses from the burglary and fire.

Carver told Patch that he returned from his deployment in Africa earlier in February.
