We do not need large fancy fire house buildings with our taxes nor do we need Suffolk police officers hanging out there. We don't need drunken parties at the fire houses. What we need is to pay these volunteer firemen like all the cities pay fireman and policemen and sanitation people. When they are killed or injured, who takes care of their families? When they are injured and lose their jobs, how do they keep their homes and feed their families? Cut Suffolk County police pay and pay our firemen living wages.
