The North Patchogue Fire Department is having their second annual carnival fundraiser this weekend running until July 4th.
Thomas Mosca, a firefighter and EMS responder with the NPFD, noted that the funds will go towards general fire department funds.
"Seeing that there are a lot of budget cuts [due to the economy], we try to jump in and fill the void so that the community can see an enjoyable show and we can have a good fundraiser," Mosca said.

NPFD's First Assistant Chief John Mentzel enjoys bringing the carnival to Patchogue-Medford.
"This is a great fundraiser. We like being able to mix together and get to know our community better. We like that it's a family thing. Everyone can come down and enjoy something at the carnival," Mentzel said.
