Police Helicopter Used To Locate Man In Patchogue

Patch readers said they saw the helicopter over the area of Main Street, South Ocean Avenue and Terry Street.

A police helicopter was used Sunday night in Patchogue Village to locate a man wanted for allegedly violating a domestic order of protection, said Suffolk County Police to Patch.

Police said the call for the incident came in around 11:10 p.m. The man was located and eventually returned to a location on Rider Avenue, police said. Due to the incident being of a domestic nature, additional information was not available.

According to readers who sent multiple tips into Patch via email, Facebook, and the Boards, the helicopter was seen by residents over the area of Main Street, South Ocean Avenue and Terry Street.
