An unidentified man was killed Sunday night in a car crash in East Patchogue, said Suffolk County Police.

Police said the man was crossing East Main Street at the intersection of Conklin Avenue at around 8 p.m. when he was struck by a white 2005 Nissan Maxima that was traveling eastbound on East Main Street.
The North Patchogue Fire Department took the man to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the car's driver, Jeremiah Day, 25 of Wyandanch, was not injured.
The car was impounded for a safety check.
