Police: Man Shot Dead in Medford [UPDATED]
Victim found on porch of home on Rose Lane Wednesday morning.
Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Medford Wednesday morning.
Officers responded to 82 Rose Lane in the Gordon Heights neighborhood following a 5:41 a.m. 911 call of shots fired at the location.
Police discovered the body of 32-year-old Ronald Fitzgerald, of Medford, lying on the front porch of the home. Police say that Fitzgerald was shot in the street and then ran to the porch of the home where he was found. Fitzgerald's home is on Gordon Avenue around the corner from where he was found.

Fitzgerald was transported to , where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The investigation is ongoing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the incident to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
