Police: Medford Bicyclist Killed In Bellport Crash

Felicia Ruperto, 52, was struck by a car and killed on Station Road, says police.

A Medford bicyclist was killed in a Bellport car crash Saturday at 7:42 a.m., police said. 

According to police, Felicia Ruperto, 52, was riding her bicycle southbound on Station Road when a 2003 Dodge Caravan also traveling southbound struck her. Ruperto was ejected from her bicycle and landed on the front lawn of a residence.

Police said the motor vehicle was driven by Faisal Imran, 23 of Astoria, who was not hurt in the crash.

Ruperto was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
