Police: Medford Man Crashes Car Into Home

Homeowner was inside during crash Monday morning, no one was injured.

No one was injured after a car drove into a Medford home on Jamaica Avenue Monday morning, police said. 

Police told Newsday that the crash happened at around 4 a.m.

According to police, Mauricio Zabala, 30 of Medford, crashed his car into the home and attempted to flee.

The homeowner chased Zabala, and police arrested him on charges of driving while intoxicated, criminal impersonation, reckless driving, fleeing the scene of a motor vehicle crash, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and criminal mischief. Police also said that Zabala has an active warrant for his arrest on a charge of unlicensed operation
