Police: Medford Woman Killed In Coram Crash

89-year-old resident lost control of her vehicle Monday night, police said.

A Medford woman was killed in a car crash in Coram Monday evening, said Suffolk County Police.

Betty Lincoln, 89, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet southbound on Route 112 when she apparently lost control south of Pauls Path around 6:15 p.m., police said. The vehicle crossed the double lines into the northbound lane and crashed into a 2011 Nissan head-on driven by Tanya Sydnor-Holmes, 45 of Bay Shore.

Lincoln was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said.

Sydnor-Holmes was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.

EVERYONE: Don't let your 89 year old parents drive any more!

This has to be one of the deadiest roads in Suffolk. It's dark and the potholes are like craters.
