Police: Patchogue Pair Arrested After Burglarizing Sayville Home

Police say Louis Rosario-Padilla, 24, and Kristie Segreto, 27, were also involved in several burglaries of Patchogue homes over the past few years.

Two Patchogue residents were arrested Saturday after they broke into a Sayville home, police said.

Louis Rosario-Padilla, 24, and Kristie Segreto, 27, were also behind "multiple residential burglaries in Patchogue" dating back to 2010, police said.

On Saturday, around 1:30 p.m., a resident on Wyandanch Road in Sayville dialed 911 after he saw a man climbing through a window into a neighbor's home after a female knocked on the front door and got no response, police said.

Responding officers, Kevin Rieppel and Frank Tooker, located Rosario-Padilla and Segreto in the neighborhood a short time later and placed them under arrest, police said.

Rosario-Padilla is charged with five counts of second degree burglary and Segreto faces three counts of secont degree burglary. They were scheduled to be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Central Islip.

Police are continuing to investigate if the two were involved with other burglaries in the area. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

dissolve LIPA and give the lines back to Nationalgrid as one company back like when it was LILCO.Read More LIPA = what happens when government gets involved in private business
Lipa Oversight June 12, 2013 at 07:15 pm
The proposed structure will have zero enforceable oversight by the PSC, Comptroller or AttorneyRead More General, Let alone the fact that close to 200 pair of eyes through lipa will no longer be scrutinizing what the sub contractor does, pseg. And on top of all that there is a built in profit layer of 10%, management fees, management bonuses and off island shareholder accountability....That being said and knowing that privatization is not financially feasible. The only workable solution is full Municipalization like 2000 other utilities in the country who have some of the lowest rates and highest customer satisfaction....all the governor is proposing is kicking the can down the street and out of sight regardless of cost to the ratepayer....we can not afford another cuomo mistake like his dad with Lilco....
