A Ronkonkoma man stole jewelry and money from 10 homes in the area over the past several months, police said.
Vincent Heilig, 30, was arrested on Tuesday following an investigation and charged with six residential burglaries in the Ronkonkoma area, police said.
Further investigation by Fifth Squad detectives revealed Heilig was responsible for four additional burglaries in Ronkonkoma and Medford, police said.
The first burglary occurred in April 2013 with the rest in December 2013 and January of this year. All of the homes were unoccupied at the time of the burglaries, police said.
