Police: Search For Four Patchogue Attackers Continuing

No arrests have been made yet from Monday's attempted robbery and assault, police said.

Cops are continuing to look for four individuals that assaulted and attempted to rob a man who was walking on Medford Avenue and Oak Street in Patchogue early Monday morning.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Suffolk County police say no arrests have been made thus far, and additional information on the victim is unavailable.

Anyone with information about this attack are being asked by police to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. While the investigation is ongoing, police said that detectives do not get into specifics on how they conduct the investigation.

As previously reported, police said the four-person group approached the victim at 3:55 a.m. asking if he had money. When the victim said that he did not, the group assaulted him.

One officer chased after one of the attackers, but was unable to catch him. A helicopter was involved during the search, police said.
