Police Search For Suspect In Rite Aid Heist

Law enforcement authorities say unidentified man took more than $1,100 in products from Medford drug store earlier this month.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Sixth Squad Detectives are on the hunt for the person they said is responsible for the theft of assorted products from a Medford Rite Aid.

According to police, on May 3 an unidentified man entered the Rite Aid on Route 112 and filled a bag with assorted medications and beauty products. Police said the value of the items taken is more than $1,170. The suspect fled the store when he was approached by a store employee.

Police said the man is also wanted for a similar incident at a Rite Aid location in Port Jefferson.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
