Police: Marshalls Thief Drops Loot in Parking Lot

Local authorities are seeking the public’s help with identifying and locating a shoplifter who stole merchandise from a Stony Brook store in February.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are looking for a man who stole three wristlets and a backpack from the Marshalls at 2200 Nesconset Highway on Feb. 13 at around 6:20 p.m.

After being followed out of the store by an employee, the suspect dropped the merchandise in the parking lot and fled in a 2005 Toyota with NY license plate FXD 4809.

The suspect was described as a black man in his mid-to-late 20s with medium build, facial hair and approximately 5-foot-9.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are offering up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. If you have information on the identities or location of these individuals, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
