Police Seeking Man Who Stole Purse at Patchogue Rite Aid

Suffolk County Police are looking for a suspect that took the pocketbook of a store manager.

Suffolk County Police are searching for a male suspect that took a person's purse from a store in North Patchogue on March 29.

Police say from surveillance video that at 12:35 p.m. the suspect was seen walking into the store manager's office and taking the manager's pocketbook. The pocketbook contains a cell phone, tablet computer, credit cards and personal identification.

The suspect was observed by an employee walking out of the store with the bag under his shirt. Police say a credit card from the bag was later used at a Target store in Copiague.

Police describe the suspect as a black male in his 40s, with a medium build, a bald or shaved head and a mustache. The suspect was wearing a red and black hoodie over a white shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymouslyat 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppersoffers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
