David Laffer and Melinda Brady each face charges in Medford pharmacy murders.

She drove. He killed.

That was the word from Suffolk County Police Commissioner Richard Dormer Thursday as police released more details on the Father's Day quadruple at a Medford drugstore.

Dormer said David Laffer's wife, Melinda Brady, drove the accused killer to the murder scene on Sunday morning.

“David Laffer was driven by his wife to Haven Drugs in Medford," Dormer said at a press conference in Yaphank. "Inside the pharmacy, Laffer shot two employees point blank, and two customers, executing the two of them as they walked into the store. He shot them in cold blood, and then stealing a large quantity of painkillers."

The couple forcefully resisted their arrests at their Medford home Wednesday, Dormer said.

“At 10:05 yesterday morning, we executed a search warrant for evidence at 30 Pitchpine Place in Medford,” Dormer said. “Laffer violently resisted police, and his wife physically interfered with officers attempting to place him under arrest.”

Dormer said that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the home, and that Laffer, 33, and Brady, 29, were obviously under the influence of narcotics at the time of the arrests.

Additionally, Dormer said Laffer has not been cooperating with detectives or showing any remorse.

Laffer is charged with first degree murder and resisting arrest. Brady is charged with third degree robbery and obstructing governmental administration. Additional charges may come from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.

Laffer to the charges at his arraignment held at the Central Islip court on Thursday. Brady was also due for her arraignment Thursday, but Dormer said she was hospitalized for undisclosed reasons at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center. Brady is under police guard at the facility.

UPDATE: Check from the press conference of Dormer describing Wednesday's arrest and what police to be the timeline for Sunday's shooting and robbery.
