Report: Shirley Man Asleep At Wheel in Medford

Delvin Lyons faces a drunk driving charge, reports Newsday.

A Shirley man was found asleep in the driver's seat of his car in Medford on the eastbound service road of the Long Island Expressway at the Route 112 intersection Monday morning said New York State police to Newsday.

Delvin Lyons, 35, was reportedly seen by another motorist who then got a trooper to approach the car at 1:10 a.m. The vehicle was reportedly still in drive with the motor running.

According to police, Lyons had a breath analyzer read 0.09 percent and was charged with driving while intoxicated.
