Updated: Two Mulch Fires Break Out In Medford

No injuries reported from both Tuesday morning fires.

Two Tuesday morning mulch fires have been reported on Cedarhurst Avenue in Medford.

The first mulch fire began at 12:45 a.m. and the second was called in at 8:13 a.m., according to Suffolk fire officials talking to News 12.

The fire has since been extinguished, the report says.

No injuries were reported from the mulch fires. Four fire departments are reported as working on the extinguishing the fires. 

The fire was caused by spontaneous combustion on the 20 foot tall mulch pile, officials said to News 12.
