Suffolk County Police Department is hosting a variety of "National Night Out" events across Long Island Tuesday, with one taking place at the Medford location of Target, 2975 Horseblock Road, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.
The event is part of a year-long, community building campaign to heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support and participation in local anti-crime programs said a release from police.
SCPD's sixth precinct will be hosting the Medford event. The will be hosting a similar event at the Martha Avenue Park in North Bellport at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
