Sentencing Postponed in Pharmacy Killings Case

Medford couple will now face sentencing next month.

A court date to sentence the pair behind one of Long Island's most mass murders has been pushed back until next month, officials said Friday.

David Laffer, who pleaded guilty to killing four people inside a Medford pharmacy on Father's Day, and his wife, Melinda Brady, facing up to 25 years in prison for her in the crime, had been scheduled to be sentenced next Monday.

A judge will grant a defense motion to move the sentencing to Nov. 10, according to Robert Clifford, a spokesman with the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
