Sheriff: Patchogue Man Arrested At Marijuana Grow House

Three men arrested at Yaphank marijuana growing home, says sheriff's office.

A Patchogue man was one of three arrested Monday when a hydrophonic marijuana growing operation was discovered in Yaphank, said the Suffolk County Sheriff’s office.

According to the Sheriff’s office, a search warrant was executed Monday by the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Bureau, the DEA and US Marshal at a Horseblock Road home in Yaphank where the operation was discovered. Several pounds of packaged marijuana as well as approximately 130 marijuana plants were seized.

Jason Rowett, 38 of Patchogue, was arrested with Ralph Rowett, 41 of Middle Village, and Michael Smith, 40 of Yaphank and were all charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the first degree (a Class C Felony), said the sheriff’s office.

The three men were scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday.
