Two Medford Women Arrested During Undercover Prostitution Investigation

Police arrested a total of four women in Coram along Middle Country Road.

Two Medford women were among four arrested by Suffolk County Police during an undercover investigation into prostitution along Middle Country Road in Coram on Nov. 4 and 13.

Joan Garcia, 49, and Patricia Spensieri, 34, were arrested and charged with prostitution on Nov. 4 and 13 respectively. Also arrested on these charges were two Coram women: Suzanne Becker, 35, on Nov. 4 and Kathleen Policastri, 43, on Nov. 13.

Police say the undercover investigation was prompted by complaints from area residents and business owners. The four women were arrested after they propositioned undercover officers with sexual acts for money said police.

Becker and Garcia faced arraignment on Nov. 5 at First District Court in Central Islip and are being held in Riverhead Jail. Policastri and Spensieri will be arraigned at First District Court on Nov. 14.
