Two Serious Injuries in N. Patchogue Accident

Tractor trailer overturned Friday in North Patchogue, reports Newsday.

Two unidentified people were seriously injured in a vehicle accident on Sunrise Highway in North Patchogue Friday morning reports Newsday from the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office.

According to the report, a tractor trailer overturned and a total of two trucks and one car were involved in the accident at 10:10 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of Sunrise Highway at Exit 52 along Waverly Avenue.

The accident shut down the eastbound lane for two hours.

When Patch drive by that area of Sunrise Highway at approximately 1 p.m. Friday, traffic was moving at a crawl in the eastbound lane.

A cause for the accident was not revealed by the sheriff's office. Those injured were taken to the hospital.
