WATCH: Man Steals Children's Hospital Donation Jar From Lindenhurst Store

Donation jar is stolen from Flag Beverage Saturday afternoon.

A donation jar to support Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital was stolen from Lindenhurst's Flag Beverage Saturday afternoon, according to a message on the store's Facebook page

The video surveillance footage above shows a man snatching the jar off the front counter at 3:27 p.m. before placing it under his sweatshirt and leaving the store, which is located on W. Hoffman Avenue.

The man told a Flag employee that his name was Tom and he fled in a white Ford van, according to the Facebook message.

The owner of Flag set up the donation jar for the children's hospital, which he said "saved my son's life."

Last month, a 20-year-old Lindenhurst man was arrested after police say he stole a donation jar for leukemia research from a Lindenhurst 7-Eleven.

Isn't this so pathetic! This guy just messed up his life over petty theft! Who is he, Professor Moron! Incidentally, there are people making comments here about the thief as though he's some Hispanic guy when it turns out he's a white guy but what do you expect from racist people? They're not the smartest people anyway! How can you be smart and a racist? It an oxymoron! In fact, this idiot has already been caught and arrested. I get tired of people blaming the government for every little thing that goes wrong all the way down to local petty theft crimes in local communities! It's ridiculous! The government can't stop every little thing that happens in every little town across the country. Some people are so damn ignorant and hateful, all they do is sit around, waste their lives and complain when they themselves are nothing more than leeches on society. These same people are sitting around doing nothing with their miserable lives other than blaming everyone else for their woes and sorrows!
