Briarcliffe, Brickhouse To Get New Signs

Architectural Review Board approves motions for new signs.

Briarcliffe College, Brick House Brewery and 123 Food Mart received approval to construct new signs from the Architectural Review Board on Tuesday.

The Briarcliffe College sign will not be illuminated and will be bolted to the earthy-colored concrete stone to compliment the color of the building. The sign will have a metallic silver finish with the words "Briarcliffe College" mounted to the wall. Landscaping around the college will also be enhanced. The board asked representatives from the college to submit final colors so it can review them.

Brick House Brewery will be building two signs: one 30 inches by 90 inches and another 36 inches by 96 inches. The 36-by-96-inch sign will have the same logo that is currently on the left side of the front door, with a business-card-like look on the right side. The 30-by-90-inch sign will say "BHB" and will be used to identify the Brick House Brewery parking lot.

The 8-foot-by-4-foot sign approved for 123 Food Mart will have an aluminum frame and digitally printed letters. The final image of the sign still needs to be submitted to the board for approval.

Dates for the completion of these signs were not disclosed at the meeting.
