Brookhaven To Lift State Of Emergency
As of noon today, motorists can return to the roadways.
Town of Brookhaven officials have decided to lift last night's imposed state of emergency as of noon today.
Last night's declaration, which went into effect at 5:30 p.m., required all non-essential vehicles to be off the roads and for cars parked on the shoulders of residential side-streets to move into driveways.
The town has still issued a warning to motorists to use caution on the roads as they travel today, due to continuing icy conditions.
