Carnegie Library Moving Ceremony July 24

Friends of the Carnegie Library will meet at Roast Coffee before the library is moved.

Patchogue's Carnegie Library, which is being at midnight on the evening of July 24th into July 25th, will have a informal reception at that evening.

The library is being moved to a temporary location near Patchogue Village's sewage treatment plant by Tritec Real Estate Company until a final spot is determined. Tritec is the plan in the area the library currently stands.

According to a by David Kennedy of the Friends of the Carnegie Library organization, people interested in watching the library move will meet at the coffeeshop starting at 7:30 p.m. until midnight. After the coffeeshop closes, spectators will walk to the site, which is at the intersection of Lake Street and North Ocean Avenue.

The organization suggests parking at the at West Avenue and Main Street, which is currently touted as the of the building.
