Closures and Special Schedules for July 4
Local institutions will be closed and public transportation will operate on a special schedule in observance of Independence Day.
In observance of Fourth of July, several local institutions are closed and public transportation will be operating on a special schedule for the federal holiday.
Those closed include , , the Patchogue-Medford School District and the US Post Office locations in Patchogue and Medford.
The Long Island Rail Road will operate on a special holiday schedule with all trains at off-peak rates. Schedules can be found on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's website.
The Suffolk County Transit (SCT) bus system will not be in operation except for the S92 and 10C bus routes.
