On March 15, the Brookhaven Town Board will vote to consider dissolving the Gordon Heights Fire Department. We need you there. Even if you have to leave early. Please we need as many people as possible to join us in this latest fight for truth and freedom. We will have a rally starting at 4 p.m. SHARP. The hearing begins at 5:30pm! Be there and let your voice be heard. This is not about taxes! It is about Gerrymandering! Bring at least 3 people - Please this is dire! Please do not come late - come at 3:45 so we can start on time!
If you are not aware, I will share with you that we are being gentrified right before our eyes. Our heritage and land is being taken from us along with our history. If the efforts to dissolve the Gordon Heights Fire Department succeed, the next step will be the out and out elimination of our rights, land and heritage. The developers will come in, the homeowners will move out and all that will be left is a sale to the highest bidder.
The fire department is a critical piece of our land and heritage.

We must keep it and preserve it along with demanding an investigation at the highest levels to find out how and why the Gordon Heights community has been divided up and reduced to such a small tax base. We believe we have been gerrymandered. Our community has been carved up for political purposes, to insulate us and to dilute our collective voting power. This is illegal. It is a direct violation of the 2000 Federal Voting Rights Act.

1. Why does GH have 4 zip codes?
2. Why don't we have a post office?
3. Why have we never elected someone to represent us from our community?
4. Why did certain fire departments carve out certain homes and developments from the GHFD boundaries and put them in their own?
5. Why don't we have any commercial tax base?
6. Why do we have so many sex offenders, sober homes and rentals?
7. Why haven't any of our community groups received any Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds but outside organizations have received the money to "provide services to lower income families in Gordon Heights"?
8.All of these questions will lead you to the most obvious answer - IT HAS BEEN DONE PURPOSELY TO KEEP MONEY AND VOTES OUT OF OUR HANDS!
We have contacted the NAACP, the Urban League, The US Dept of Justice and other organizations to join us in the fight for freedom and truth.
